Apologies in advance for my complete lack of technical knowhow..

So I bought some movies from Blackberry world on my Q10, and have synced to my windows 8 laptop using blackberry link.
The files are there sure enough, but when I click on them it just says 'cant play. this item was encoded in a format that's not supported'

help! what is it I need to adjust or download to make this work?

Nothing you can do. They are not meant to be played on the PC...only the phone. AFAIK you need the movie to be encoded differently but i don't know the settings or codec you need. I don't think it can be done

Curses! Thanks anyway, good to know. I guess I need a micro hdmi cable then for the tv

Just encode the movie to another recognizable format... the quality will be below average anyway... it was meant to be played on a 4" screen
