    Just bought the new Torch and installed the software, ver 6 on my PC with Windows 7 (64 bit)
    All went well with the installation, but when I go to open it, it starts to open and I can see the main page, but then I get a message "BlackBerry Desktop Software has stopped working" and below that it reads "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."
    I have tried to open it with the phone pluged in and without the phone. I get the same message everytime. I have even removed the program and re-installed it.

    FYI it works fine on my new HP laptop sporting Win 7/64 bit.

    It works fine on my Dell laptop running XP, but not on my Dell Desktop in my office running Win 7. (Which is where I need it to work!!)

    Got it working, I had to remove a video from my video folder as explaned by this user in the BlackBerry forum. (Re: Desktop Manager 6.0 Crashing - Page 7 - BlackBerry Support Community Forums)
    Hope it works for everyone else with the same problem.
