    My USB port on my 8310 is shot. I have a new phone (another 8310) coming my way any day now. Meanwhile, how do I get my data from my device onto Desktop Manager without a working USB port? Also, the device is dead and I'm unable to charge it. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

    1. Get a charging pod to charge it. The charging pod uses the gold contacts in the back to charge the device. Be sure that it is THE BlackBerry charging pod and not a third party one since some of those use the USB port.

    2. Try connecting to BlackBerry Desktop Manager via Bluetooth. If the computer doesn't have Bluetooth, you will have to get a Bluetooth Adapter.

    I belive it can be done, but I do not have the hardware to demonstate it.

    You will need a Bluetooth enabled connection on your support computer.

    You should be able to configure Sync to save most of the data to Outlook or to generic txt files.

    When you receive your replacement, charge the battery and swap it over for the sync.
