A full graphical interface for a contacts list, calendar, etc
See Palm Desktop for a similar implementation.
Isn't that what Outlook (or Notes or Mac Mail, Mac Calendar, Mac Address book) are for?

Yeah it does not seem like the windows version of the DM does this. i have a BIS account and i hate that i cant see my calender or appt's on my desktop in case something where to happen. i've been a blackberry user for a few years and unless 'im doing something completely wrong can someone please tell me how to do this if it is possible like the new mac DM that just came out. I want this sooo bad!!!
I've yet to see an PIM as straight forward and easy to use as Palm Desktop. DM is about the slowest, least intuitive, featureless piece of software I've ever seen. I'm a first time BB owner and must say that I was very surprised by how primitive BB's software is. My old palm could sync everything in about 20 seconds with the press of a single button on the cradle. With my 8230, well, first I've got to plug in a cord (even though it's sitting in a cradle, but hey, that's just for charging). Then open desktop, wait 20 seconds while it thinks about things, go to change device (cause that's the only way to sync my palm desktop calendar to my device) click through two or three windows, wait about a minute and a half while it does who knows what, then click some more and wait another minute or so. What a ridiculous ordeal.
