OK, I have an odd mix.

Just bought a new laptop with Windows 7 64 bit, installed Office 2010 Home & Student 64 bit & Outlook 2003 32 bit. Downloaded latest DM from RIM and installed.

DM will see that Outlook is available, but does not see that it is set as the default mail handler and so I cannot sync. I have tried various combinations of installing and re-installing to no effect.

    Any ideas?

So I uninstalled Office 2010 64 bit and re-installed 32 bit. No love. Tried DM 5. No love.

    At a complete loss.

Now I'm starting to get pissed.

I completely uninstalled everything, cleaned the registry, and reinstalled 32 bit Office 2010 with a trial for Outlook 2010 to see if that would work. I am getting the same f***ing thing I did with the last go-round: I get as far as selecting Outlook, it pops up a box asking for the profile to use but doesn't show or allow me to do anything!

I have now wasted a Friday night and a full Saturday on this POS software.

Strange, did you ensure that Outlook is your default Mail handler?

I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit (Service Pack 1) along with the latest DM and it works fine.

Ensure you have the latest DM which is version: BlackBerry Desktop Manager v601_b021
