Ok, I've just done a backup of my 9900 using DM and it created a .bbb file. Then I wiped the device and installed the last OS. But when I tried to restore the backup, DM said the file was corrupted... What the can I do now?

Perhaps you may want to give it a try with the BlackBerry Backup Extractor tool. Good luck.

Why are you using dm 7? It was pulled.

I downloaded it and started using it before it was pulled and I really never had a issue with it as far as backing up my device and such. Not into this syncing and stuff so I really can't comment there. therefore I just never uninstalled it and tried rolling back since it such a hassle to clean out the registry in order to downgrade the version of DM. I certainly don't want to be left with a unusable backup though.

Yeah I had it also but figured it was pulled for a reason.

I really just don't know what to do for sure. You hear so much bad on these forums but hardly ever hear from the users who are not having trouble. Kinda gives you a sick feeling one minute not knowing what to do and then the next minute well heck I'm not having all these problems at least not yet. I just can't understand why it is taking rim so long to get a revised DM7 back out. This is unheard of in my business if it took this long to get a fix out. Anyway what steps did you go through to get DM7 uninstalled and did you get the latest dm 6 on the blackberry site?
