I have the latest DM 6.1 and also the current AT&T device software for my new 9810 installed on my PC.
Now whenever I want to install/uninstall apps it updates the entire phone software even though there's actually nothing to update.
It also always downgrades BBM from the 6.0.0.129 to the stock 6.0.0.120 and there is no option to uncheck that. The result is pretty much putting the phone back to factory settings.
It also always wants to install Google Talk every time, and no way to uncheck that either.
What is the deal with that?

It's a long time known bug in DM 6. No way around it within DM. Just don't use it to do any app installs. It downgrades some apps because those are the ones that come with the OS getting loaded. And sometimes apps get updated after it was bundled with any given OS. Even a real OS update can have older apps included. BBM especially.

I use either App World, direct OTA installs, or BBASK to install all my apps and leave DM out of it.
