DM 5.0 keeps asking to Upgrade to latest

Hi, I'm a relative newbie (BB Tour owner for 4 months). I try to search the forums before asking a question, but this one I've found nothing on so hear it is:

Every time I run DM (I currently have 5.0 installed) it asks me if I want to upgrade to the latest version. Kind of annoying, since I believe I have the latest version. Also, I recently upgraded my OS on my Tour 9630 (Verizon) to 5.0.0.591, yet DM continues to prompt me to upgrade my OS and other updates that I already have installed. Why would it continue to prompt me to update things I already have? Is there some setting I need to turn off? Thanks in advance for any help.

Uninstall the OS from your PC and you will no longer receive this prompt upon opening the DM.

the OS is not installed on the PC? Not sure what you mean here?
I'm having the same issue with a bb curve 8530. everytime i connect to DM, it tells me to upgrade to 5.0 OS. i'm already at 5.0 OS. the DM is v5.0.1.

any advice on how to stop these prompts?
