hi all,jus a lil info needed here,what is the actual purpose of the desktop manager? i hear everyone talkin about it like its the best thing since sliced bread. i have 5.0 dm and i dont see what its uses are. other than checkin for updates. did i install it right?

Well you can use it to back your phone up. Install and uninstall apps and many other things

transfering music and videos as it compresses them for you and transfers them properly. Backing up your bb is a big thing as if something happens your info is stored on your computer. Adding applications that dont provide an ota link. Many other things as well.
