Quick question about the update I have got from dm. I just purchased a 9900 and I was copying over content and I click applications and it prompted me for an update. Is it ok to update over dm or do I have to delete the vendor file and stuff.

If DM is telling you to update then you don't have to delete nothing, it just means your carrier relased a new OS

I checked the OTA updates and there is no update?
Its how I do it and so far it has never let me down. What i like the most is I don't have to go into any files and delete the COD. files and fool with stuff I really know nothing about.... :D
The desktop manager is a tool that will select the appropriate and the latest Official OS released for your device, that has undergone testing (at-least on paper). Mostly it's safe to upgrade using the desktop manager. I said mostly because at times OS releases do contain some bugs that create some undesirable results. Like battery draining out too quickly, nothing that cannot be fixed.
