    I updated my phone with the latest BlackBerry Messenger 5.0 but everytime I want to install a app threw the DM it forces me to downgrade the BBM to verion 4.7.


    WHHY? And how can I stop it from doing that?

    You have a later version of software on your BlackBerry then you have installed on your support computer.

    Use Windows file manager to navigate too:

    c:\program files\common files\research in motion\shared\loader files\*device*\java

    Locate the files: net_rim_bb_qm* and delete or remove them.

    I have tried doing that before but I don't have the Shared folder in there.

    I have:

    -AppLoader
    -Auto Update
    -BBBI Drivers
    -BBWebSLLauncher
    -Modem Drivers
    -RIMDeviceManager
    -USB Drivers

    And I'm running Desktop Manager version 5.0.1

    I don't have the shared folder either. Anyone? It's getting old having DM try to delete BBM 4.5 every time I want to add something using DM.
