I backed up my 9530 with DM. I can locate the back up file in the My Documents folder, but the DM doesn't recognize the device as backed up, so that every time I connect to DM now it wants to back up all over again. The DM tells me that last back up occurred 9/13.
    Any ideas?

Are you running a hybrid OS or the leak? I can't remember which OS is the last Verizon Official. Have you tried to restore to see if it recognizes the backup?

Just do another backup and then see what DM indicates. You will not lose the first backup and having another should not be a problem.

If you get the same message then you know it probably a problem with DM.

OK so I ran another back up. Same problem - the back up file appears in the appropriate My Documents folder, but DM still doesn't acknowledge that back up has occurred.

I uninstalled DM and reinstalled it. Same problem: DM doesn't acknowledge that a back up has occurred. Whenever I connect to DM it creates another automatic back up file

I would suggest using an older version of DM. 4.6 is an excellent version. 4.7 is really buggy. You could also try 5.0.

I was able to get 6.0 to work after uninstalling and reinstalling it, but if you tried that and it failed, an older version would probably be better. Since you are not new to the forums, I am guessing that you were able to successfully back up your device prior to the use of DM 6.0.

Yes I have been able up til now to back up without problems, starting with 4.7, on through DM 5 and DM 6. What confuses me is that DM 6 has worked well until today, It behaved as if it was corrupted in some way, but uninstall and reinstall have not fixed the issue

Did you reboot the PC after uninstalling DM and after reinstalling it?
