I swapped out my Torch today (Torch for Torch) and have an ipd LoaderBackup file for my previous device. I was able to restore my device, but the calendar and memo pad are not there. In the restore option of BB desktop manager, it does not see the ipd file to restore from it. How can I, if there is a way, get to and reload just my calendar and memo file?
If the BB desktop manager can't load the file there could be something wrong with the backup and it will never restore. It could be something as simple as the backup was created from an older OS version or a corruption has occurred.
Your best bet is to extract the data using something like the BlackBerry Backup Extractor at blackberryconverter.com. Then sync the calendar and memos by syncing Outlook if on BES if not GMail for the contacts and email the notes to your BB.
