    I back up every day with the desktop manager.

    However, ever since getting the Torch, the desktop manager is always showing my device as "never backed up".

    Anyone else encounter this?

    but i can see the file saved, its not showing up when dm is up n running and says "never backed up"

    I have same thing - DM shows never for last backup even though I have backed up at least twice a week and before every OS upgrade that rolled out.

    I could be wrong not being in front of my PC but I believe that there is a difference between synching and backing up.

    Mine says last backup was on launch day. I have my preference set to auto back up and synch all.

    I tried uninstalling twice.
    The first time I just uninstalled and re-installed. That didn't work.
    The second time I uninstalled, deleted the directory (x:\program files\research in motion\...etc), rebooted, and reinstalled again. that seemed to work.
    Actually, the DM seems to run faster now too.

    I have the same problem. Phone is being backed up but DM just doesn't show it.
