Desktop Manager...HELP !
I am having trouble with Desktop manager 4.5...so i looked and see that 5.0 is available.
I tried installing 5.0 and get the following message;
"Existing Blackberry software has been detected on your computer. Disconnect your device and click OK to continue. Otherwise click Cancel."
My BB is disconnected and the Desktop Manager is not running. I even looked for it using the Task Manager Option...but it is not listed.
4.5 appears to be corrupted...as i cannot make changes to its sync options.
HOWEVER, it updates and syncs my TO DO list to my BB ...and it is detected when i plug it into my computer???
Weird ? ?

did u unistall 4.5 first ???

No...i have not uninstalled 4.5.

you can try to reinstall the software or uinstall 4.5 and do a fresh install of 5.0 you can get all versions of dm from blackberry.com

Still having a problem with the message (sigh).
I tried to Repair the previous 4.5 version....then deleted it....then tried to install 5.0....and with each effort...got the same message:
"Existing Blackberry software has been detected on your computer. Disconnect your device and click OK to continue. Otherwise click Cancel."
Any ideas?

PS.
I also removed and reinstalled the 4.5 version...with the same results. WEIRD? Its SYNCing the To-Do List...but that's the way i had it set before it went out. I need to sync the address info too (sigh).
