    Just bought a brand new Bold 9700 and installed Desktop Manager. Upon starting Desktop Manger a prompt box pops up and reads:

    "Before you begin, verify that your current Blackberry device is connected to your computer."

    As long as this prompt box is there, I am unable to use any aspect of DM. When I plug my 9700 into my USP port and it successfully connects to my computer, another prompt box appears stating:

    "Blackberry Desktop Manager has stopped working.
    A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

    DM then closes itself and I am back at square one. I have no idea what to do. I am running Windows 7. Anyone else experience this problem or have a solution?! Thanks for taking the time to read this.

    Try completely deleting Desktop Manager from your PC, Re-boot the PC and then re-install it.

    Hopefully this will fix the problem.
