I installed Desktop Manager yesterday for the first time to go with my new Bold 9700. Once the installation was completed, a window popped up saying that it needed to shut down my computer so the changes could take place. I told it to shut down, and it NEVER CAME BACK UP! The computer is locked up and I cannot get to a setup screen or post screen. Anyone else had this happen?? Maybe it's coincidence, but everything was fine prior to the installation of DM. I REALLY don't want to format the hard drive, because there are too many things I don't want to lose.

Any suggestions? I have downloaded a couple of files to try to boot from. Maybe this will get the system up and running. It's a fairly new computer running Windows XP.

This may all be coincidence. I think the hard drive has crashed....
