Any help is very appreciated! So my sister just started working for Sprint (one of the retail stores). Yesterday a couple of little thugs came into the store while they were swamped and stole her Curve from behind the counter and ran out. Yep they are on video (for whatever that is worth). So my question is, when you upgrade the OS using DM does that create a backup file on your hard drive? We just upgraded the OS on her phone a week ago. Unfortunatly she doesn't have her contacts saved in Outlook. Would it be possible to restore from that backup file that was created?

    The filename is: LoaderBackup-(2009-xx-xx).ipd

The default location is My Documents.

That is AWSOME! Thank you SO much! Once I have the new BB in hand do you know how I can use it to restore?

BlackBerry Desktop Manager should recognize the new device's PIN number.

Use Advanced Restore, navigate too and open the IPD file. If you only what the contacts, you can select that database for restore. If you want to completely restore it, select everything.

Follow that up with a Backup.
