I got a somewhat newbie question.

I'm going to be getting the Curve and giving my wife the Pearl that was my gateway into the world of crackberry. My question is, do I have to run my desktop manager on a different computer because they're going to be 2 different BB working off of the same software? Or will it be a non issue since they're going to be 2 different types of BB

Nope. You can have both on one computer.

You can have 2 BB's on the same comp. My friend plugs in his Curve on my laptop when he wants themes and other software from me and it works fine.
