So I just reloaded my laptop from scratch - Win7.

Installed DM 6.2010 and then went to setup the bluetooth and usb DUN. I entered the usual :

    +cgdcont=1,"IP","epc.tmobile.com"

    *99# = number to dial

    for each of them.

The bluetooth connects perfectly fine and the laptop goes online through the BB... the USB connection on the other hand fails to connect OR says it cannot open the port. This happens using regular DUN and going through Desktop Manager.

I have uninstalled, reinstalled, removed standard modem, reinstalled modem, etc, etc and I cannot for the life of me get the USB connection working. Anyone have any ideas? It worked perfectly fine before I reloaded my OS so I can't figure out what the problem is... and the fact the bluetooth connection works...

    Anyone?

One thing I'm thinking you could try is deleting the DUN connection (only the USB one, since your BT connection is working) and "disabling" the RIM Virtual Serial Port in Computer Management. Then set up Mobile Internet in DM6 again. This new connection *should* create a new VSP. Go back into your Standard Modem Properties and make sure that "+cgd" string is in the "extra initialization commands" field, and try again.

I'm not sure this will solve your problem, but it can't hurt to try.
