    Hi I am about to take the plunge and get into Blackberry with a used 8310 which I intend updating the OS to a newer OS but I have tried to install the latest desktop manager from the RIM site amd just get a windows error box..........any suggestions will be appreciated.........
    I select run on the download and it eventually downloads it says error............not a valid win32 application ??

    Any help or alternitive links will be very appreciated cheers in advance

    Hi, welcome to CrackBerry. You could try downloading this leak MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service . If it installs, after you reboot you should be able to upgrade to the current version. If you still get the same error I'd look at your PC. Are you running Vista? If so, download the exe and right-click: "run as administrator".

    Am just trying that now, yes I am running Vista, hope its not too serious, would it be easier to borrow a install disk from a new Blackberry as I know a few peeps in phone shops and can prob get a copy ????
