I have Windows 7 and I have been unsucessful at installing any version of Blackberry desktop. I have tried 4.7 and now 5.0. I am using an AT&T Blackberry 8800.
I can download the file from Blackberry and once windows unzips it i get a box to select language. I select English its show that an installer is being installed, then it all disappears!
I think I have solved the problem, i went to the RIM website and found a link in the forums of a similar problem. Windows 7 must have a problem unzip some files, so the forum reccomended downloading a program call 7zip. It can be found at 7-Zip This allowed me to extract the files to a folder and then run the setup from there. Hope this helps others out!
