Just noticed a bug where group chat SMS will not show individual replies correctly on Blend but is correct on the BB10 device.

Device: Z10
Model: STL100-3
OS Version: 10.3.1.1154

This is on a Windows 8.1 laptop.

Issue: Person A sends group chat SMS to Person B, Person C, Person D. On Blend replies from Person B, Person C, or Person D appears as if Person A is replying to the group chat SMS. This issue does not occur on the actual BB10 device.

I noticed something similar today.

Device: Z10
Model: STL100-4 (Verizon)
OS Version: 10.3.1.1154

Mac Mini Using Mountain Lion 10.8

Chat starts in MMS on the Z10. The device specifies that "This Chat will be in MMS Mode." Everything works fine from the device. However, once you reply from Blend, it breaks everything into separate SMS messages. Then, on the Z10, instead of saying MMS Mode, it now says that the chat is in "Broadcast" mode. There is a small megaphone next to the chat icon as well. From that point forward, messages are treated as SMS whether sent from Blend or the Z10. Messages no longer go to the group.

It appears that Blend changes the type of conversation to Broadcast from MMS. This is an issue that needs to be fixed. There doesn't appear to be anyway to do it from the device or Blend.

I have receive the reply from our highest level support and they told us that the BlackBerry Blend does not support this. The explanation is that in the BlackBerry when you select multiple contacts it prompts to "enable group conversation" , In Blend this is not prompted, so messages will go out as individual messages, so this is an expected behavior and currently they are developing the BlackBerry Blend to support this an other some features. You have been part of this process and we will use your case as feedback to our developers.
