    Hello !

    So.. I've recently bought a Blackberry Bold 9000 from eBay, and unfortunately, it has an IT policy on it. I would like to remove it so I can use the camera and put media on the phone. I'm planning on using CrackUtil to reset it to factory default, but I absolutely cannot connect the phone to my Mac.
    I've uninstalled and reinstalled Blackberry Desktop Manager three times (the most current version), and have also hard-reset the phone. I wiped it as well... but I always get this error message.

    Blackberry Desktop Manager failed to connect to your Blackberry device.
    Reconnect your device and try again.

    Any advice?

    You do not say so, but Im sure you installed the Mac version of DM.
    Another thing to try is using a different connection cable. Bad quality cables can cause a "non connection" message.
    If did a full wiping of your device it will NOT connect to DM. It will not even boot properly.
    You need a third party app to reload yor devices OS, for what I know, in this case you will need a PC, nor a Mac.
