I recently bought the Blackberry 8830 from verizon and have had no major problems except this. When I sync my blackberry with my macbook pro it dosent sync all the contact information. I resently put in a new address in a contact and used a custom title (college) instead of using "other" as the option. When I sync the blackberry it dosent sync the address. It donsent seem to sync anything from phone numbers to address unless its listed as home or work. Im using PocketMac which RIM recommends and supports. Dose anyone know why it dose this or how to fix the problem. Thanks for any advise.
I recently purchased my first BB, an 8830. I have hit the same sync problem with Address Book that tls07 described. I have tried PocketMac and Missing Sync. Same problem with both, which leads me to believe it's either a Mac Address Book issue or a BB issue. Anyone solve this? Thanks.
Hmmm... Ok
Running OS X10.5.1 and PocketMac 4.0.20b.
I just added a new address on my BB to test. Under categories I created a custom called College like tls07 did. I synced this with PocketMac and it synced fine, created the college group and the contact info was intact.
So again... Hmmmm... Don't know what else to try or tell you.
PocketMac was a big hassle, so I now use Missing Synch. Way better in every way. But... still won't synch Address Book properly. I have many contacts with more than 2 telephone/fax numbers, but only two get synched.
Gary, I'll check tonight, on a PC here, but I'm pretty sure PocketMac even synced my contacts with more than 2 numbers. Some have 6.
Work, Home, 2 Cells, Fax, Other.
What OS is the Mac and what version of PocketMac?
I'm running OS X10.5.1 and PocketMac 4.0.20b.
I haven't tried Missing Sync because PM seems to work fine. Maybe down the line if things start acting up I'll look into it.
