BB Link surely needs a lot of improvement. A missing feature that is really annoying me is differential and incremental backup option. Doing full backups take too long (BB Link is also very slow for doing backups), and having this option for doing backups will help to save space, and decrease backup times.

If you go into your BB link settings you have the option to do a full or "custom" back up!


The time it takes to do a back up is determined by your computer's CPU more than anything. There's nothing slow about the BB Link software on my PC's.
Backing up my Z10 which is stuffed full with extras takes me about 3 to 4 minutes tops!

I'm running an AMD FX 8120 Eight Core Processor 3.10Ghz with 8 GB of RAM and a 1500 watt power supply!

It's more for the "application data" backup. Mine is 6gb. That's where differential and incremental backups will be very useful. The settings and media backup is quick.

Hi everyone, last week before update to 10.2.1. I make a full backup, after my phone restart go to link to restore the backup what is my surprise, ! No contacts and remember notes there..... anyone have this problem..

So I try to restore only my contacts list from my older backup....again surprise!!! link doesn't have the option to chose separately only things I want to restore. .......any suggestion??????

I think that this is a feature basically that is missing in link, ,,,, on last version of desktop software for bbos you can choose every single thing to restore, from calls log to alarm settings

You sure you had "application, media, settings" all checked off when you did your backup and when restoring are selecting the correct file from the correct date it was created?
