I installed Desktop Software V6 for my 9700. It recognizes everything except my organizer. I click "configure settings", it tells me the operation is in progress for a second or two and then goes back to the previous screen. Anyone else have this problem? I can't sync my calendar or contacts without being able to configure the settings.

If you are running Outlook 2010 with Windows 64 bit you are out of luck for now, only works with 32 bit.

interesting.. i use 64bit windows and my desktop software syncs with outlook 2007 fine... i am not sure with 2010 yet.

I don't think a lot in the mapi was changes for 2010 for it to stop working?

n/m just checked the specs... for outlook 2010 only 32bit of outlook2010 is supported no support for 64bit outlook 2010 yet.

I'm running 64-bit Windows 7 along with 32-bit Office/Outlook 2010. I just downloaded DM6 and was able to back-up and sync all my address book, calendar, memo-pad with no issues.

I'm glad I installed 32-bit Office 2010 because according to RIM they won't be supporting 64-bit Office 2010 until 2011!

Then your rig has an issue unless you are referring to Media.

I just got the download and I have no idea how to use this thing. How can I simply transfer a few pics and songs to my Curve? This thing is trying to send all my media to the phone and I don't want it all on there.

Running it on Windows 7 64bit with Outlook 2007, no problems, syncs fine. Love this version, simple and they finally got rid of the stupid Roxio Media, horrible media app. Only thing I haven't tested out is the Mobile Internet.

Use an app like BBSAK for 3rd party apps.

My wife's computer runs windows 7 64 bit but office 2010 32 bit. The desktop organizer shows an error EVERY time I try to configure the organizer. This is driving me mad. After waiting a month for the Desktop 6 rollout, it does not work. The error message provides absolutely no detail at all.

This was the point I made. Why rush it out to match the release of the Torch, get it right first then release it.
