I"m getting ready to install the Sprint.175 OS on my 8330 Curve.
I already updated my BB Desktop Manager to Version 5.0.1 and I want to make sure i am ready to connect my phone now for the new OS download.

Do I have the right Desktop Manager Version?

It doesnt matter what DM you have, I still use 4.5 and love it.

I had to use DM 5.0 when I got my Tour, DM 4.6 would not let transfer info from one device to another. Soon as I loaded 5.0, it transfered immediately...

Also, DM automatically searches for updates specific to your device. If DM prompted you for the update, rest assured that it's ok. I've been using it for weeks with no issues.

It's all pretty automatic if DM suggested the update. Just be patient.
Although, it might be a good idea to backup your 3rd party apps just in case something goes missing.

LOL good luck.. like I said, post back if you run into issues, and the most IMPORTANT thing is.. dont unplug, DM may look stuck at times, BUT.. it will tell you when its done, or if it errored on its own.. there are always fixes too, so dont stress

I have rachels pin, and I will give it to you for *Dr. Evil voice* 100 billion dollars! Muahahahahaha!

I would also suggest that once the o/s update is downloaded and installed to the PC, disconnect from the internet before installing it.

Heh, I can relate to that!
Just make sure you tell her at the beginning to NOT unplug it or power anything off until it's completed.
