    I've downloaded and installed (cleanly) the Blend and Link software; Blend recognises and pulls data from my Classic (V10.3.3.2137) and Link sees it UNTIL I try to back the device up.
    At this point Link reports that it's connected but the error message says it isn't connected.
    I need to back it up before migrating the data to my new Key2 handset, so trying a system restore isn't an option.

    What OS is your computer on? Link isn't compatible with Windows 10 or macOS High Sierra. You can typically force it to work, but it takes some hassle.
