    I'm having major issues with my BlackBerry Curve - most things i try to do, including going into the options of my phone give me an "Uncaught Exception : java.lang.error"

    I want to try to do a full restore on the phone to see if that will help, but I need to backup my contacts, photos, etc.

    I've downloaded Blackberry Desktop manager, and followed the backup instructions. It seems to have worked (?) but is there any way to check? I tried this once before and someone at T-mobile walked me through wiping the phone - only to find out the backup didn't work and I lost everything. How can I check that all my phone numbers and photos have been successfully backed up?

    And furthermore, do I just click restore to wipe the phone, or do i need to call tmobile and have them walk me through it?

    I've tried reading through any documentation I could find about the desktop manager on this site, but to be honest I found the info very bare-boned and I still was unclear about a few things.

    Any help would be appreciated!
