Please try the following:
1) Download .297 to the AppLoader directory on your PC.
2) Double-click on the application file to install it.
3) Once the installation is complete, connect your Bold to Desktop Manager via USB cable.
4) Notification that system update is available appears.
5) Follow the screen prompts.
6) Let the process complete itself even if it appears to be taking a long time.
7) Send yourself a test email.
8) Reset any settings that have reverted to the default factory settings.
9) Re-register any apps requiring licenses.
10) Test other apps to make sure that they are working
11) Reset any app settings that have reverted to default.
12) Do a QP and you should fine assuming you started with OS .167
Desktop is a more thorough install. OTA is just a patch over 167.
Where did this info come from?
i have seen some people talk about going to options/advance options and the wireless update to update ota but i have no wireless update or update in that section att had told me that an icon would appear on my phone telling me to update ota and that it maybe a week as it was a scattered thing started on west cost so does any one know anything about that????
I updated mine with the OTA option and everything seems to be working perfectly. Battery life seems good although i do keep it on 2G and memory leak seems to be no worse than an of the previous OS i have used.
It's listed as a patch right on Blackberry's site.
Seems reasonable as it won't give you the OTA option if you are not running 167. Took a while for me to realize that. Finaly loaded 9000/4.6.0.297 from DM.

i'm running 282 and it's not showing me any updates so i guess i'm gonna be doing the update to 297 via desktop soon
How long does the OTA upgrade process take?
Thanks!
