    By default, the BlackBerry KEY2 and BlackBerry KEY2 LE both use the BlackBerry Launcher. Should you wish to replace the BlackBerry Launcher with a different launcher, though, here's what you need to do.

    because some launchers give you quick a bit more functionality. Just like some browsers are better for some people than the stock.

    true, but we would than lose the button shortcut functionality - this doubt some of the best alternatives have this. so, for me anyways, the trade-off is not acceptable on my key2. on my storm I do use another launcher.

    if there is a way to keep the shortcuts and use that another launcher please share as that would be helpful.

    Shortcuts still work IF you use the speed key.
