    Verizon Wireless says it plans to start field testing its upcoming 5G network in the US sometime in 2016. The technology is supposed to have up to 50 times the throughput of the carrier's current 4G LTE network

    This for real or just marketing speak?

    50 times 50MB per second is 2500MB = 2.5 GB per sec?
    (50 times faster than LTE?)

    So monthly data can be consumed in one sec?

    Looks like the carriers' wildest dream... :-)
