AT&T has received a $100 million fine from the FCC in regards to complaints that it was throttling data on unlimited plans. The FCC says it has received thousands of complaints from customers who noticed lower data speeds on their grandfathered data plan, and as a result AT&T will have to pay a hefty sum. In the ruling, the FCC points out that "AT&T inhibited consumers' ability to make informed choices about mobile broadband data services," and as a result AT&T has been issued a $100 million fine.

AT&Ts main problem is that they took the soft touch when it came to this plan. They allowed their customers to retain the feature even when agents were supposed to remove it when applicable. They were so scared that the cry babies would leave that they allowed themselves to get walked over and abused.

I hope AT&T finally takes the hard line on that feature and tells the FCC to **** off.

You can't be serious. When any company offers an UNLIMITED plan, then throttles those customers because they don't like how much data they are using they are in the wrong and deserve hefty fines. How you can side with AT&T is beyond comprehension. These telco's are the problem and I am glad the FCC is starting to take on these scumbag corporations and start taking the consumers side on these issues. Also glad net neutrality was passed too.
AT&T and Verizon are both guilty of this and a whole slew of other underhanded things to make as much of a profit off the backs of the consumers as possible. These scumbag companies are not happy making a good profit. They want to hoard every penny and make insane profits and that's just wrong.
