If you live in or are visiting New York and want to try out a brand new BlackBerry smartphone, you now have the chance to do so at one BlackBerry's own shops. Seemingly out nowhere, BlackBerry has now opened up a new pop-up store in New York.

They could do the same and launch some here in some of the large Canadian cities. Oh, and a new BlackBerry 10 flagship would be nice, even though I know it's not going to happen.

Sorry for the potato quality pictures, the "shop" was pretty dark but it was bright outside and I was in a hurry to reach home.


The shop was pretty small. Initially, there was no body there! Until the attendant came from somewhere, I was playing with the phones. There were Passports (white, black and SE), Classics, PRIVs, and Leaps (Black and White).


On the left wall, there were accessories - car chargers, earphones etc.


I just chatted with the attendant for a couple of minutes, took the photos and left. My parting words were 'BlackBerry really need to market well, the products are amazing, just get the word out and slowly things could turn.'
