Would the Z10 charger bundle charge a Nexus 5?

I know it's micro USB and all, but how about the voltage? 1A or 2A? Does that work? Someone smarter than me please help.

I love that the charger bundle is so slim and has a built in cable. And yes, if you are wondering...I'm going Android...Been a die hard since the Pearl...threw in the towel. Nexus 5 arrives tomorrow night.

I use my Z10 charger for both it and my Nexus 5 with no issues.

Thanks for the reply! How fast does it charge up on the Nexus? similar to the Z10?

It's a little slower. The BlackBerry charger has a lower output. 750mA (0.75A) vs 1.2A. The Nexus 5 also has a bigger battery.

    Don't worry, you'll be back.

What are your thoughts on something like this?

Anker 2nd gen Amazon.com: Anker 2nd Gen Astro 6000mAh Portable Power Bank Backup External Battery Charger Rapid-Recharge (2A Output) Shake-to-Wake power pack for Google Glass, iPhones, iPads, Samsung Galaxy Tablets, other Android Smartphones and Tablets (Apple ada

I understand there are options with larger capacity, but given I live in NYC, portability is also critical.

These battery packs are actually rather ingenious. Easy enough to slip into your pocket, and you don't even have to restart the phone.

    Agree.

Would you go with the ANKER or just use the Z10 battery bundle for external battery?

If I bought one, I would buy the Q10 battery pack bundle because I have a Q10. Otherwise I'd get a generic one.

I've kept my Z10 even though I recently got the Nexus 5. I plan on switching back and forth between the two periodically. Both take the micro SIM. You could swap devices at will, especially now that BB10 devices don't require any BIS provisioning. Put your contacts and calendar to the cloud and you'll be good to go whichever device you decide to go with that day or that week.
