Thread title: WTS the Original Palm Pre for Sprint
    Item Description:
    Price: $50 shipped
    Carrier Locked to Sprint
Condition: 8/10 - screen protector from day 1.
Includes: Original box, original earbuds never opened or used, data/charging cable, ac adapter, plus TWO TOUCHSTONE charging kits, and a spiffy suede-like pouch.
    Item Location: Denville, NJ
Shipping Details: I ship via USPS priority mail
Payment Options: PayPal (gift) or local meetup
Additional Info: This phone is the reason I left AT&T and BlackBerry for Sprint. I simply had to have the Pre on Day One of availability. Then work required me to go back to BlackBerry and this Pre has sat in its box on a shelf in my study for YEARS.
Contact Info - Please PM or post below (do not post your email address)

Sold "As Is" but guaranteed against D.O.A. I'm calling it 8/10 condition, but if you think I grossly misrepresented the condition I'll buy it back and pay all shipping. The screen has a protector on it since day one. Slider mechanism is still tight.

It's a shame this device is for Sprint. If it was a Verizon Pre somebody would have snapped it up by now, if for no other reason than as a piece of nostalgia. Selling anything for Sprint is a Herculean task.

Would I be able to use this phone with boost? Since it is essentially the same service.

Apparently you cannot use the Pre on Boost. Seems they won't activate it even though the technology is completely compatible. Something about the ESN being in Sprint's database but not in Boost's. Curious considering Sprint owns Boost.

No real interest. The trail has gone cold. If I get any bright ideas (doubtful!) I'll update here.

I miss this device. Had it on bell in Canada. Great phone and OS for the time. The OS was great at multitasking before any of the current OS's were.

It might be easier to sell if it was not a Sprint model, but what are you going to do? It is what it is. I enjoyed it but went back to BlackBerry for a while. Couldn't live without my precious BlackBerry back then. My, how times have changed.
