Some have reported issues... others have confirmed it and BlackBerry has acknowledged it and said they'd look into it when they could.

as long as long as you dont wipe the playbook and get rid of the user name and pw, then it will work fine. JUST DONT WIPE THE PLAYBOOK!!! This is my own thoughts and if I am wrong, anyone can correct me. I have 4 playbooks and all work fine.

But wiping is usually the first step a seller and a buyer should both take....

I have two PlayBooks and they do both work fine right now. But I barely use them. So not sure about removing your BBID and any personal data without doing a wipe.

If the seller and the buyer are both aware of the issues... and agree to it, that's fine.

You (seller) would probably want to change the email id associated with the blackberry id. I think you can do that without requiring a wipe right? Unless you (the seller) wants to give up your email as well. Presumably your devices don't share the same blackberry id (ie playbook with bb10 bb0s phones) . You might have to think how this would affect BBMe? if you continue to use it on some other device.
What other risks might there be in not wiping it?

Okay its sick, I laughed ... But its still sick. At least with good BB hygene, its not Android's default STD (Sensitive Transmission of Data)....putting "your data" out for anyone.

rebroker, after reading this about wiping Playbook. Opened a new emaill with a different name and password. Wiped playbook, after wiping it asked for the usual stuff I entered my new email address and password, all ok then I was asked to upgrade so I upgraded to latest OS ( which of course was samosa before wipe but all is OK, Rick

Thanks for reply, I had a woman in Montreal interested and I dropped the price to $275 CAN. and I would pay for UPS. Phone is like new/ charger and cable/earphones and a Nic Black wiping cloth. That is as low as I will go. If it does not sell it will sit alongside other things that I have collected, Thanks, Rick
