I just migrated from Note2 to a Z30 after 2 years of use..i hv noticed that the signal is very weak compared to my earlier android phone. Inside the lift of my condo.i could get H+ signal and also same inside my house but with the Z30 the signal is total zero and at home is in 3g speeds only. Also the browsing speeds are significantly slower than note 2. Is this how a Z30 behave or is it a settings issue. I hv seen similar posts here but no solutions..any feedback is appreciated. Tks

I don't have any such issues but I have LTE here so I wouldn't expect any. I would call your provider and ask for a network extender to help boost your signal.

I have never had a poor service issue with my Z30 so I don't think you can say "that's the way it is".

I've never had that issue on Verizon, I get strong signals everywhere.

Could it be due to wrong APN settings? I use Celcom and live in Malaysia .

Hi..just to update on the status

Replaced my micro sim..earlier it was the regular sim that was cutoff to micro sim size

Activated 4g LTE. The signal has improved since then.

However I realised that z30 never shows H..
    Unlike my note2..it shows H+ or 3G.

What STA 100-X form factor are you using?
Is it the one fully compatible with your carrier?

    STA 100-2
    10.2.1.2987

Is there a difference in spec if the STA codes are different?

Just like to update status for benefit of other users..no further issues on signal after replacing with 4g sim card and activation of 4g network by carrier.

Love the z30..just perfect for my requirements

One thing I love is that running apps can be closed in a flash with simple up swipe and cancel

Never go back to android again...
