Thanks for the replies folks, seems like it's a bit of carrier issue and the need for some firmware update, where as per the replies seem to be available. On the side note, I have a Q5 too which suffers from similar symptoms on 4g so may just be rogers.

Lte coverage on all of the big carriers is still pretty disappointing at least in the GTA. I very rarely have gotten full Lte bars anywhere I have ever been from Peterborough to oakville and back.
