Don't wait. Yesterday I got what I believe to be the last Z30 at a Verizon retail store in the Chicago area. I sense there won't be any more coming. Plus, isn't BlackBerry focusing on physical keyboard phones for the rest of the year?

I Didn't wait too, I'm enjoying my new z30 since yesterday, this phone is simply amazing, the z10 did a great job though. Don't expect a new BlackBerry before mid s2 2014! Let's go !

Waiting for the z50 myself as well. The rumored specs are crazy. It's a monster. They said Q3 of 2014. But I don't know if that's going to happen, wait and see.

"The z50 will be the device to attract new customers. It's going to be 64-Bit Octa-Core or dual core. 4GB memory, 32GB HD, 1080p Super AMOLED display @ 5.2" with high ppi. 13 megapixel camera running 10.3 and sporting a 3000mah battery".

Pretty impressive specs if you ask me. My contract will be up by the time the Z50 comes, so I'm waiting patiently.

I'm very happy with my Z30. I've heard so many conflicting stories about the Z50. I've heard it's coming out by the end of the year and then that BlackBerry won't be bringing out any new all touch screen devices.

I'd say go for the Z30 since it's out now and it's an amazing phone. If BlackBerry brings out a Z50 later this year then decide what to do with then.

I heard after the Z3, the Q20 is due to come out within two months, between end of may and June and that is it this year. My sources that trade in devices where told to expect them, Q20 rumors are true, it will have the belt. Specs will be an upgrade from Q10 and size.

Nothing on any other full touch devices from BlackBerry this year.

Just my two pence worth, but I'd not wait. Go get the Z30. Showcasing the best of BB10 right now.

I think a lot of people have forgotten that BlackBerry aren't doing an aggressive android-based release cycle of every 6months. They don't need to. BB10 isn't the same as android in that it'll be supported on hardware for a lot longer, like windows phone is on Nokia Devices and it doesn't need the super-specs of devices you'll see from HTC or Samsung.

I've had the Z10, almost a year longer before its general release, and I've never switched to another platform or wanted to change my phone as often as I had done previous. I upgraded to a Z30, and I still feel the same. I'm in no hurry to change it for another BB10 device any time soon. Including the rumoured Z50 should it see the light of day.

If you are going to wait for the "next big thing" you will never buy a phone.... There is always a new one on the horizon.. Go with the Z30... Amazing phone and don't worry about the NEXT phone........

Guys dont wait. I have the Q10 and Z30. The Z30 is such a complete device.

Its also very noticeably faster than my Q10 but the keyboard just does it for me.

This year is the year of the qwerty keyboard BlackBerry besides the Z3.

Just remember even according to carrier's website reviews. The Z30 is a pleaser. No other device has scored as high in so many user review sites.

The logic is simple.

I was having the same dilemma. But then I got a great deal on one and couldn't pass it up. I'm glad I didn't because this is one sweet device.

If the Z50 comes out, I'll worry about what to do then. I'm sure I will figure it out...haha

Depends what your needs are. The z30 is a great phone would be good for almost anyone. Are you just buying it to impress people or do you actually need a new phone? The z30 will still impress. You will save some money as well so financially the z30 would be the way to go. The new phone when it comes will be better but it will also be alot more expensive. So you can really decide. I think if you compare your probably better to buy the z30 plus you will get the 10.3 update software soon as well which is always like getting a new phone anyway. My vote for most would be z30 besides the new phone doesnt even have a release date so who knows when or if it comes any time soon.

I was going to wait for the Z50 or whatever they're going to call it. But John Chen only mentioned the Q20 so far for this year, and was vague on an all touchscreen device, which leads me to believe that it won't be out this year at all.

Over the years with BlackBerry, I've learned that if I want something, to buy it. If I played the waiting game with BlackBerry, I would have let lots of good devices pass me by. That could be said for all tech, but BlackBerry is notorious for taking a while when it comes to device launches. I thought the Q10 would come out right after the Z10 did on my carrier. I was originally going to only get the Q10. But I read all the reviews of the Z10, and got it anyways, and I'm glad I did. It was a full THREE MONTHS before the Q10 came out.

Had I waited, I would have missed out on the Z10, and the Z10 ended up being the reason I got the Z30, because I was so impressed with it.

The moral of the story is, don't wait for anything in the pipeline when it comes to BlackBerry. I'll get whatever flagship is next, but for now, I love the Z30. It's a high end device and I'm so torn between it and my Q10, which I'm also keeping. My Z10 is great too, but the Z30 is the king.

Get the Z30. It is a great device and will get 10.3 in the near future. I was also going to wait for Z50. No point in waiting for a Z50 because who knows if that will ever release. And if it does, I'm sure it will be at least another 8 to 12 months away since Chen is focusing on qwerty.

I absolutely love my Z30. It ranks with the best phones. Not exaggerating. Sad that it wasn't the first BB released and the Z10 was pitched as an entry level phone. Gotta believe if the US carriers would display it and do the slightest bit of promotion it would sell well. But then I don't understand the carrier/manufacturer relationship. Who is responsible for the display and promotion?

Oh, I got sidetracked. I didn't and wouldn't wait. Completely happy.

I had the Q10 and was thinking over the same thing. Found one that someone was selling and so far it's been great. Feels big in your hands at first but the large screen, battery and amazing virtual keyboard are enough factors to make the switch.

Enjoy the Z30 now and worry about the next phones once they come out!

Now that the white Z30 is available online, I'm almost ready to get one. I want to give it a little time to see if the STA100-1 shows up.

There was another thread that basically confirmed that the sta100-1 will never be released. ATT passed on the device and it was never produced. Or at least that was the theme of the thread.

I just placed the order of a white z30 and will have to get by with 4G in ATT.
