Decision is down to Samsung Galaxy S5 or Sony Xperia z3v both free on Verizon site with 2 year contract (plus $30 upgrade fee) or the Z30 from Amazon for $99 with 2 year VZW contract (plus $30 upgrade fee)...

You'll be happy to know I didn't get the Samsung Galaxy S5 or Sony Xperia z3v on Black Friday. But I haven't got the Z30 yet either as I may wait for the Classic on Verizon...

Got z30 for dad. Paid 199 plus tax then he traded z10 for 200 value. Basically only paid for taxes. cheapp

I had the same dilemma. Amazon had the z30 for 99 but VZW was 199. I was buying 3 other phones that were all cheaper on VZW but wanted to buy all 4. I called VZW customer service and they were very helpful. Got me some discounts and in the end after speaking with a very nice manager while they admitted they could not do anything with the price of 199 for the z30, they could offer me a credit to my account to bring it close to Amazon's price. Worked for me. Got a great deal all the way around for my z30 and stayed with VZW.

It's now $49.99 on Amazon, but with 2 year contract...

I don't want to get involved with any more contracts, as it saves me $15 per line when not on contract with VZW. Best I can find for a CDMA Verizon version is refurbished on Amazon for $279,no contract. I think I may add it to my Z10 and Q10...primarily using it at home as a mini tablet...
