Great to see Paratek on a BlackBerry. I completely forgot they bought them. Hopefully it makes for outstanding battery life!

I'd like to know the SAR rating and if it makes a difference for the better or 'worse'

I'm not sure it is. Why would they emphasize it on the 30 if it's in the 10?

Maybe to big up the "premium" nature of the phone? (That's a stab in the dark, not trying ot be funny with you!)

I'm hoping this improves reception for higher frequency carriers so I can switch to Mobilicity or Wind.

Because they heard the calls to 'market' their solution

So is the 10 using it or not?

It doesn't improves reception in general but keeps it consistent.
The main problem in RF communication is antenna mismatch which happens from various reason like humidity, temperature and even holding your phone wrong. Main source for mismatch is capacitance variation and can degrade signal reception strongly. Main example of antenna mismatch is one of the iPhones, when holded by left hand caused antenna mismatch.
Paratek technology keeps antenna tuned and matched always.

I believe it also does something to help with battery life as well.

Yes of course. Actually in case of mismatch less RF power is passed to/from antenna, actually more power is wasted and less arrives as signal.
In this case amplifiers come to help and draining more power. For RF amplifiers, power drain may vary in very wide range from 10s milliwatts to few watts.

"BlackBerry Paratek Antenna" Seems like something I could be interested in. . . but most consumers could care less. . . of course if it really makes that much of a difference. Here's hoping it's something actually worth mentioning

It's in the Z10 and Q10, but maybe they've introduced a new design.

You mean "couldn't care less". What you said means that they do care about the antenna.

I think it was there in the z10 and q10/q5 also...
Its just that they are now showing off that their mobile antenna is made by a great company specialising in antennas...
That's good marketing... I'm waiting for more... so that BlackBerry can compete with the apple and Samsungs of the world.
