Trying to connect my USB hub to my Z30 with the required adaptor but when I plug it in I don't get the "USB Device Inserted" message. I'm currently running os 10.2.0.1767 so I'm not sure if there is an issue with this os or not. I'm trying to do something similar to the guy in this video...
. Any help with this would be appreciated.

Are you using a powered UsB device, or connect a powered UsB HUB?
I have two hubs I've tried it with and neither work on my Z30. The interesting thing is that the light on my mouse lights up when I connect to the Z30 so it's getting power. The usb hubs both work when connected to my computer.
Hmmm No idea what's wrong but it works great on mine.
I have had all of the following plugged in so far and working great.
Keyboard
Mouse
Xbox 360 USB Game controller
2 USB memory Keys
USB 10/100 wired Ethernet dongle.
All work super sweet in my 10 port powered USB Hub.
Post a picture of your setup. Are you sure the parts are all the way they should be? Also is your micro usb adapter only for charging, and not for data transfer?
Yes, but is it a USB OTG adapter? There is a difference between micro USB to USB and a USB OTG adapter even though they may look identical. The OTG adapter has a different wire routing configuration. See here:
You've proven that its not an issue with the cable, but I am surprised that BlackBerry does not have a proprietary connector cable available. They have an HDMI cable available so I'm wondering why no USB Gateway adapter.
So i did a backup and restore and it appears to now be working. I'm typing this post with a physical keyboard and am navigating with a mouse. This is awesome!!
Well, it has stopped working for me today. Not sure if it has anything do with Miracast but once I turned it on it stopped working. I've tried wiping and restoring but no luck. I'm starting to wonder if it is a hardware issue with my phone? Any help with this would be appreciated.
