I am considering upgrading to z30 however my biggest concern is having built in battery, we all know that blackberry is famous for needing a battery pull. Ive always had blackberry and i have tried the z10 and hated i. i am now trying to decide if i want the z30 or if i want to go with an android phone can some one tell me how you would reset this blackberry instead of doing a battery pull

You do a hard reset with the 30 by holding down the volume up and down buttons. Until you see the blue loading symbol.

I will also add that you don't have to do battery pulls as often as I believe it has something to do with the new BB10.

Mr Slff - remember when Alt LG LG was used to clear the log to improve operations a bit on os7 devices.

Do we have such a thing in the bb10 world?

Apologies OP. Never tried the Z10 so no comparisons to provide - but I am still having difficulties putting the Zthirty down!

If you listen to any music of any kind on your "soon to be speakers" on your new Zthirty - you will surely be impressed.

I believe all you have to do is do a restart by holding the pier button for a second. Where it ask to shut down or restart.
Not 100% sure but I haven't heard of anything else.

no worries. Z30 does not need any battery pull. If - for some reason something freezes and locks it up - a hard reset can be done by keeping the volume buttons pressed.

One of the reasons why some did battery pulls before, was to clear up some local cache and temp files, and to force rebuild of some databases (which was done upon booting the OS).
BB10 does not need this, and the devices also have more internal memory to better handle the temp files/databases etc...

Had z30 for 2 weeks.. it's amazing. No lag or no need for resets. Battery life is the best. I'm at 30 hrs now and at 20 percent. Awesome!
