Hi have a black z30 but a white transform shell, it's great except when taking a photo with the flash on, it seems to affect the flash and the images come out pretty bad, soon as I take off the shell it takes great pics.

Waiting for the beta case!!

Hmmm, I've not used to the Transform Shell case long enough. But when I find it I'll test it out to see how my pictures come out.

I was planning on getting a black Z30 + black Transform Case, so I'm definitely curious about this.
Can you guess why this is happening by looking at the case while on the Z30?

Also, what's a "beta case"?

A carbonite case for the z30 that BlackBerry decided to beta test with some of the new z30 owners. Check out the beta zone for more info. I think there's a couple threads here about it too.

I've seen this happen with iPhone cases. It could be that it reflects. I have a white one but not to hand to test it out.

Only issue I've had is the power button sticks sometimes.

Yes i think the flash reflects off the plastic around the flash.
see pic attached, very rough pic but you get the idea.

The transform case does not touch the power button at all.

I see this on other phones as well when a white case is used. If you don't mind the hack, use a black sharpie and color the edge of the case around the flash. Just the edge.

It will resolve the issue.

Don't think this will be an issue on the black transform case.

It's the white material flaring into the lens

Now on Z30

I had this problem with a white case on an old iPhone and can confirm that a the black sharpie hack worked for me.
