With ThanksGiving and Christmas around the corner, I find it hard to accept that the likes of AT&T have not mentioned the release or possible release of the BlackBerry Z30.

With the holiday season beckoning it is time for carriers to support BlackBerry. "Release the Kraken..."; oops I'm mean "Release he BlackBerry Z30..."

I'm glad I managed to snag one from Verizon. I upgraded from an iPhone 5 and couldn't go back now.

I hope BlackBerry is able to mount even a modest advertising campaign for the holidays. It would be a shame to see such good devices go unnoticed.

AT&T will be silent on the Z30 whilst the exclusive for VZW is in place here in the States. After that ends, we shall see, I suppose. I am personally not looking for any news about the AT&T Z30 until early next year.

I don't think BlackBerry is even on AT&T radar any longer, unfortunately. I would almost be surprised if they offer the Z30 even online.

I'm curious about the AT&T situation as well. I am a little more concerned as to why there has been 0 marketing for the Z30 in the US. I have not seen a commercial for it or any ads anywhere..Everyone that I know who has Verizon doesn't even know what it is. I guess I'm just shocked since it's the new "flag ship" device....but I also understand that BB is in the process of going through all these changes.

My guess is it's definitely the situation BlackBerry is currently in. If that wasn't happening then we'd probably see a marketing strategy in place and a lot more chatter about this awesome phone and OS.

What I don't understand is this: Verizon has an exclusive for the Z30 in the U.S, yet even their advertising and marketing is terrible.

Do they not want to sell the Z30 in mass quantities? Why bother with having an exclusive contract then?

My family and I are up between staying on AT&T or moving on to Verizon. If Big Red is the choice, the Z30 is a serious option for me. I love WP, but there is no WP8 worth a 2 year upgrade for me. On AT&T, I love BB10, but the Z10 seems a little "cramped" to me to really let BB10 shine. The Z30 is perfect at 5". I do wish I had a Z30 option on AT&T. Just seems silly. This device has a serious chance against other flagships.

Is it true that Verizon have the only agreement to sell the Z30 in the U.S.? If so when on earth does it end? And why are Verizon not fully marketing this device?

    Weird, really...

AT&T cant even get 10.2 rolled out, the Z10 didnt sell like they wanted and I think they bailed on the Z30 and BlackBerry10 in general, curious because the very first pictures we saw of Z30's had AT&T branding, if it was still coming we wouldve heard something or seen something come thru the FCC by now. Verizon isnt exclusive because they wanted to steal customers with the Z30, they are exclusive because everybody else bailed on it.

Its a damn shame BlackBerry cant get these phones in peoples hands in the US, so many people dont know what they are missing out on...

I appreciate the response. Most Verizon phones (World phones) have the option to use/insert a SIM card. Is their Z30 the same? Thus could one buy one and use it on a GSM carrier?

No they are different bandwiths, and from my understanding, there is currently no Z30 model that supports AT&T's LTE network

...that is a real shame. Maybe the likes of BlackBerry are 'testing' the market to see how many Z30's they should really manufacture. Considering they made so many Z10's and are now virtually giving them away, they don't want to make the same mistake twice.

I think it'll eventually end up there.

The Z30 unfortunately had lousy timing. It was released while BlackBerry is in total flux and trying to survive. The US carriers meanwhile have just about washed their hands of all things BlackBerry. I agree with the poster above - Verizon has no exclusive. They were the only one who took it on, not even stocking it in stores. No marketing. it's almost as if any of the Z30's they sell are gravy for them, and if not no big deal. Because they have no big commitment.

Why would they advertise to consumers? They gave up on them. Do prosumers and enterprise need to be advertised to?

What I don't get where is the dang Rogers version. They have same bands as at&t. Usually could always grab one of theirs unlocked. But seems to be missing also?

The only real marketing I've seen has been as website ad banners. Saw one this morning while viewing the LA Times site.

I feel the same way, I was expecting the Z30 to be in place via AT&T for the holidays.
AT&T is acting like a small time player, that is not what I wont for my carrier...!

It is a shame that most of the carriers are now only fully supporting the likes of iPhone and Android. Even accessory makers are the same.

I've always bought Speck Products and Otterbox products for ALL my gadgets. But Speck refuse to make something for BlackBerry. Rather sad really...
