So from the sticky http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...encies-850736/ it looks like STA100-3 is compatible with T-Mobile USA's with GSM at 1900 mhz, 3G/4G at 1900 mhz (will only work in refarmed areas) and LTE at 1700 mhz. The STA100-5 has the best compatibility with T-Mobile USA with GSM 1900, 3G/4G at both 1900 and 1700 mhz (for coverage in all areas refarmed or not) and LTE at 1700 mhz.

OK, but my question is, where can I purchase a STA100-3 or a STA100-5?

The ones at GSMNATION and Negri Electronics, and Amazon seem to all be STA100-2s.

I would rather not go through the hassle of figuring out how to buy one from Telus Of Canada, figure out how to get it shipped to the States, then get it unlocked.

Does anyone know of a website that is selling unlocked STA100-3s or STA100-5s in the States?
I would like to know this to.

Is anyone using the z30 on Tmobile US? I stopped by the Tmobile store yesterday and talked to the rep who sold me my z10 and he said that they wouldn't be selling it. In fact they pulled the blackberry display section and replaced it with the LG g2.

Not sure if exclusive means for a period of time or that they are the only ones getting the white version to, however the Verizon landing page says it's exclusive to Verizon as well. I guess it plausible. Remember AT&T had the iPhone for years so it wouldn't be unheard of for a carrier to get exclusivity

Was it unlocked when you got it?
Someone will be going to Canada soon and I will ask him to pick up a Z30 for me.
I am on AT&T and I would like to know which model (if there are different ones) would be compatible with AT&T's LTE?

Also, did you run a speed test to see what kind of speeds you are getting?

Does your Telus version work on T-Mobile's LTE network?
Also, carriers are capable of hiding features that are not offered on their networks. Of importance to me is WiFi calling: Although it's a supported feature on 10.2., only carriers that support wifi calling will make that option visible within the UI. I first encountered this issue with the Torch. If it was purchased through carriers that support Wifi calling (Rogers, T-Mobile, Cincinnati Bell), the dialog options were there. If the same model of Torch was purchased through SFR, AT&T and others that don't support wifi calling, the dialog options are masked. To my knowledge, Telus does not support wifi calling, so I will make the guess that wifi calling isn't identified within the settings options. Would you be willing to validate this for me by taking a quick peek?

    Thanks!

Mine does work on t-mobile LTE. I know that for sure. As for the wifi calling question, I remember seeing something about wifi calling when I set up the phone initially, but I don't see anything in the settings pertaining to wifi calling. I remember that my q10 used to always tell me when wifi calling was active, and I haven't seen anything like that on this z30. I guess it's safe to say that I don't have wifi calling.Hopefully I'll be able to change that somehow.

My question: Does wi-fi calling work on your z30 with t-mobile? If so, then exactly which series is it? I read somewhere that the z30 radio on at least one model did not work with wi-first calling.

If there is a z30 out there that works with wi-fi calling, I'll get it regardless of whether t-mobile officially carries it.

You can go to speedtest.net or download speedtest app.
Could also please tell use the model # of Z30? I am not familiar but maybe someone can tell us if there are different variations of Z30 like Z10?

I'm in Canada right now and will be going back to Atlanta on Tuesday. I'd happily buy a Z30 for someone and ship it domestic to save on costs....although $600+13%tax+shipping+$100 convenience fee may become prohibitive for most.

Giving an exclusive color is fine, nobody cares about that but not giving the device to other providers at all would be pretty much the end of it for BB, even with all their utterly incompetent moves during the past couple of years I highly doubt they could be so totally lunatic to do anything like that.

Potentially, good news. Negri Electronics is listing the STA100-5 version of the Z30 with T-Mobile compatible 1900 & 1700 MHz for 3G/4G and 1700 MHz for LTE. The only reason I say potentially is because currently it shows available "End of October"
