I'm at my son's outdoor event today. The sun is shining directly on my display. This display is perfectly bright in the direct sun. I've done video, uploaded files, shared a link etc, and the display has been awesome. I'm at about 50% brightness. Just thought I'd share for those thinking of getting a Z30
My display hasn't been bad at all. At least I am able to swipe and choose things, unlike my Z10, which used to remain motionless while in the sun. Couldn't choose an icon, app, or swipe to save my life.
Ive noticed my old 9860 with lcd is way easier to read in direct sunlight than my Z30 with its omled. If I turn up the brightness it makes it much easier to read, almost as good as the 9860.
Thanks for sharing . I've always wondered how well the Z30 screen would do in the sun. Since I put an anti glare protector on my Z10, it's much better.
It's because of the Automatic Brightness, even if you put the brightness to the minimum setting, it will increase when needed without moving the cursor...
