Was the card perhaps previously encrypted? Try reformatting it on your computer.

I know someone with an identical issue. It was corrected by loading an older leak then formatting the sd card there. I don't know how much of an older OS you can get on the Z30 though.

Ah okay. I'll see about formatting the card using the phone first. If that doesn't work, then I'll try going back to 1803 or 1791.

Looks like I'm going to revert back to the official OS release and stay there for now. My SD card says that it works and can save taken pictures to it, but if I plug in my phone or do anything, I get a bunch of weird folders and files appear and all my pictures get deleted.
Anyone wondering about bugs for 10.2.1.1055? This is a BIG one.

Resurrecting this thread. I just loaded up 10.3.0.1418 on my Z30 and I'm getting this same issue. Can't get the phone to download the media card driver in order to format the SD card.

Does anyone have a work around?

It seems you can't format on 10.3. You have to go back to the official version to format your SD, after that load 10.3 again. Should work.
